- The site is hosted in Geneva, Switzerland, by Infomaniak.
- No cookies, no tracking, no analytics, no advertising. No account to create.
- Local-first: your tour selection stays in your own browser. We have no database and keep nothing about you on our server.
- Your details only reach us when you choose to send a request by email or WhatsApp, and are used only to answer it.
- The site is open source: its text and code are licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is GH Celebrity Tour, James Dedidal, Accra and Ada, Ghana. Contact for any privacy question: travel@ghcelebritytour.com or WhatsApp +233 53 053 8732.
We follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).
2. Hosting
The website is hosted by Infomaniak Network SA, Geneva, Switzerland. Switzerland is recognised by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of data protection. The site is made of static pages only: no script runs on our server, there is no database and no user account.
Like any web host, Infomaniak may keep standard technical access logs (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type) for a limited period, for security and to keep the service running. We do not use these logs to profile or track visitors.
3. What stays in your browser
To remember your choices between visits, the site saves one small entry in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device and are not cookies.
| Entry | Content | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
ghct-tour | The tours you added to your selection | Keep your selection if you come back later |
The booking form is not saved: what you type is only sent when you press a send button. You can delete the stored entry at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
4. When you send a request
When you send the booking form, we receive the details you entered: name, email, phone number, dates, number of travellers, chosen services and tours, and your message. We use them only to answer your request, prepare your itinerary and organise your trip.
- By email: the form is sent to FormSubmit (Devro LABS), a free form-to-email service, which forwards it to our mailbox. FormSubmit may process technical data needed to block spam, such as your IP address; see its privacy policy. If the service cannot be reached, your own email app opens with the message ready to send.
- By WhatsApp: WhatsApp (Meta) opens with your message pre-filled, and you decide whether to send it. The request is also sent to our mailbox as described above.
Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract, and the performance of that contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). For visa-on-arrival paperwork, we ask for a copy of your passport only once your booking is confirmed, and use it only for that purpose.
Retention: we keep your messages for as long as needed to handle your request and trip, then only what accounting and legal obligations require. If you do not book, you can ask us to delete your request at any time.
We never sell your data, never use it for advertising and only share it with the partners needed for your trip (for example a driver or a lodge), with your knowledge.
5. Third-party content and services
All photos and fonts are hosted on our own server in Switzerland: opening the site makes no request to Google, Meta, Amazon, Apple, Microsoft or any other outside service.
- Links to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, WhatsApp, Plastic Punch and news sources only connect you to those sites when you click them. Their own privacy policies then apply.
FormSubmit (our form service, only when you send the booking form), our mailbox provider (currently Google Gmail) and Meta (WhatsApp, only if you choose it) may process data outside Switzerland and the EU, for example in the USA. Where this applies, they rely on their own safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US / Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR and the Swiss FADP you have the right to:
- access the data we hold about you and receive a copy;
- have it corrected if it is wrong or incomplete;
- have it deleted ("right to be forgotten");
- restrict or object to its processing;
- receive it in a portable format (data portability);
- withdraw your consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
To use these rights, write to travel@ghcelebritytour.com. We reply within one month, free of charge.
You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority: in the EU, the authority of your country of residence; in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC); in Ghana, the Data Protection Commission.
7. Open source and licences
This website is open source. It is plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with no build step and no hidden server code: the files you download are the complete source. You can read them with your browser's "View source".
